Replacement Procedure

Spotify has a rule on their end that only allows an account to be a part of only a single family plan within a period of 12 months. We call this a "cooldown period" for any changes in a Family Plan. We also recommend using a new account on replacements because it also greatly increases your chances at a long-lasting upgrade.


1. Replacement

Make sure you are logged into the Spotify account you used for your first upgrade. "Login with Spotify" on the Replace page to get your new activation key.

2. Creation

Since Spotify has new mechanisms in place - a Cooldown system that does not allow certain accounts to be a part more than one Family Plan within a timespan of 12 months, and a Flag system that is responsible for fast automated removals and the culprit behind getting kicked from your Plan very quickly - we recommend creating a new account. You can use the Import Tools within this page to migrate all your data within a matter of seconds

3. Upgrade

Use the new Spotify account and replacement key issued on the Upgrade page
